GOLD IN GHANA prepared a 18kg doré shipment from Ghana for a Zurich-based refinery, delivering full compliance documentation and verified origin ahead of schedule. The consignment met all LBMA due diligence requirements on first submission.

Challenge

The refinery required LBMA-aligned chain-of-custody: proof of origin from licensed mine, independent assay linked to the physical batch, and full export documentation. This is standard for major buyers but many suppliers lack on-ground verification capability.

Solution

We verified the source at a licensed cooperative in Prestea, captured GPS-tagged photos during weighing, and applied tamper-proof seals under dual custody. SGS Accra conducted fire assay with results linked to the batch ID. We compiled all documents including Minerals Commission license, payment records, and customs forms and delivered the digital dossier 96 hours before shipment. The refinery accepted the gold without request for additional information.
